After getting engaged at MineCon with the help of the game’s creators; gaming couple Asia and Matt have been inseparable ever since, both in the game and in real life. So of course they would have a Minecraft-themed wedding which included a Minecraft “diamond” necklace for the bride, low-res Minecraft pattern ties for the groom and groomsmen and some Minecraft sculptures which were lent to Matt and Asia from artist Greg Aronowitz. There were also a number of hand-made pieces for their ceremony made by the couple’s friends, such as Minecraft trees and other elements from game’s world.

The wedding and reception was held at Beatnik Studios in Downtown Sacramento Lisa and Geoff the husband and wife photography team behind The Goodness was on hand to capture every pixel perfect moment. JunkBoy, the Art Developer on Minecraft who designed the “marry me” graphic for Matt to use to pop the question can be seen on the blue Jones soda bottles. Jones Soda provided the bottles featuring different elements from the game on the labels for the reception.
