An Intergalactic Wedding

Drawing inspiration from across two galactic geek universes: Star Trek and Star Wars; this beautiful wedding between two Sci-Fi fans was shot by the talented and green wedding photographers at BG Productions. A Philadelphia husband and wife team who specializes in weddings photography and videography are also geeks at heart themselves.
“We are a little bit of rock-n-roll mixed in with old school hip hop with a dose of 80′s music thrown in! We are huge fans of Steampunk, Dr. Who, the world of comics (Batman and Wonder Woman rule!), and rescuing animals. We travel any chance we get and LOVE to explore new places- even its in our own city. We Love what we do and feel like the luckiest couple ever! and We LOVE our clients!”

The couples’ Klingon wedding ceremony officiated by “Jean Luc Picard” had a Star Wars twist and continued on into their geeky reception. During a Klingon wedding, the groom’s Tawi’Yan presents the couple with bat’leths (or in this case lightsabers) to mock battle each other representing the struggle of the male and female Klingon hearts against one another. After the couple recites their vows (swearing to unite against all their opponents) their guests attack them.

“We Klingons often tout our prowess in battle and our desire for honor and glory above all else… but how hollow is the sound of victory without someone to share it with” - Martok to Worf.
Located at The Deck at Harbor Pointe, the ceremony took place on the 20,000 square foot two-tiered deck overlooking the Delaware River. With the wedding party photos taken at the park next door. The groomsmen wore Klingon pins.

A cute idea, attaching these tiny Star Wars ships to each guest place card. Directing guests to their tables named after planets in the Star Wars universe.

Continuing with the Star Wars theme at their reception. The couple’s wedding cake made by Sinfully Delicious, had Republic and Jedi symbols made from icing around the middle and top tiers of their cake; which was also topped with a Han Solo and Princess Leia cake topper.
