One Year Blogiversary + Giveaway
I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I started When Geeks Wed! I’ve loved sharing my geeky wedding ideas with all of you, all 485 posts of them, and receiving so many great submissions from Brides, Grooms and amazing photographers along the way. Where did it all start? One post about a Portal 2 Engagement and from there grew into hundreds more, the most popular one being my Elegant Black + Gold Batman inspiration board. I hope to find more time this year around to post more, grammer check more (d’oh!) and have more DIY projects and original content posted.
A big thank you to all of my readers from the ones who has been with me since the beginning to all the new ones who have just discovered WGW. You all make this blog what it is today and me want to continue posting and creating content for another year. Thank you again for all your comments and support.

I love all the fun ideas! I’m already married, but it gives me inspirations for crafts. =)
What I really love about When Geks Wed is how I can sit there and start to dream about my wedding. I can see all those geekery stuff mixed together in the fantasy wedding of all times. I can sit like that for hours having so much fun while reading and looking at pictures.
I love When Geeks Wed first for just existing. Soon I will be marrying my own geek in a Star Wars inspired wedding and this site has given us so much inspiration. I plan to continue hanging around the site even after we are married because it is just too much fun.

I think the thing I love the most about this blog is that it made me not feel lame for wanting a geeky (HP) themed wedding. I guess it really is okay to be 35 and still convinced your letter to Hogwarts is just lost in the mail

Absolutely love this blog! There’s not enough geeky wedding stuff out there. And honestly, this blog has helped me realize (as cliche as this may sound), that it’s OK to have a super geeky wedding, because that’s who we ARE. It’s fine wanting to make our families happy, but we shouldn’t try to fit ourselves in the “traditional” box, especially when it’s OUR day, OUR wedding.

‘When Geeks wed’ is my go-to site for wedding inspiration. It makes me feel validated and not so much of a wierdo for wanting to put some more personal stuff into the wedding. I feel like ‘When geeks wed’ has allowed my fiancee and I to be ‘us’ instead of some sacarine image that wouldn’t have suited us and would’ve left us unhappy.
