Dock Your Fork in This Gallente Space Station Cake
Chef Duff Goldman’s Charm City Cakes created this amazing cake replica of a Gallente Space Station from the game Eve Online. Depending on your perspective, the Gallente are known as either the “do-gooders” or “champions of freedom” in the science fiction MMORPG which is set more than 21,000 years in the future in the human colonized system of New Eden. Either way, their space station looks too good to eat.

maybe its just the picture, but generally arent gallente space stations a dark organic-green? the balck doesnt look bad, but makes my OCD go mad.
also “champions of good”, lol, good doesnt exist in eve, they may be “democratic” but theya re just as corrupt, violent, and prone to using inhuman torture methods as anyone else.
That’s true, Gallente stations have a green hue. However I can imagine that not as many people would want to eat a green cake.
From their own perspective of course, each of the ‘races’ of Eve thinks of themselves as ‘do-gooders’, well maybe except for the Caldari who openly espouse a ‘dog-eat-dog’ hyper-Capitalist mentality. The Amarrians might be slave owning imperialists, but from their fanatical religious perspective they are doing ‘good’ by spreading their religion through the galaxy. The Minmatar are the former slaves of the Amarr, but they are not above things like space piracy.
Lol, that is true.
How much of this ‘cake’ is rice krispie treat? On a related note, if it contains rice krispies, IT’S NOT CAKE.
A Minmatari Tempest Battleship would be very cool, too.
OMG I MUST…THAT IS AWESOMESAUCE! TOTAL FANBOY MOMENT HERE! LOVE DUFF LOVED ACE OF CAKES OMG SQUEEE!
Pollo, he approves.
I just want to pick apart the description, new eden is not a system, its a galaxy (isnt it?), nice cake overall , hard to get very accurate considering the materials needed.
The “omen” cake was pretty good too.
I always thought it was too small to be a galaxy but maybe it is.
There are 7000+ (plus a few more thousand wormhole systems which iirc are in a different galaxy altogether), visitable systems in the New Eden Galaxy, however, like all galaxies, it contains far far more stars than just that. You just cannot get to them because they don’t have stargates to let you get there.
The New Eden galaxy is smaller than the Milky Way though.
New Eden is a remote cluster of ~2500 stars and associated systems located light years away from Earth. Still in the same galaxy, I believe, just an ungodly distance away.
It’s not a whole galaxy, not by a long shot. our milky way has about 100-300 billion stars, and it is estimated that each star has at least one planet orbiting it. so you see, the 5,000 star systems in eve are just a speck of dust on the map of whatever galaxy it is set in
New Eden is both the name of the galaxy and a solar system it is a 0.3 system in Genesis region it is where the Eve Gate is. If you hit f10 in game and turn off the overall system name and region names it should display some tourist spots that are fun to visit for lore purpose this is one of them, along with ‘City of God’,'Cord of the Elements’, and ‘The Traumark Instillation’ just to name a few
New Eden is system far across the Universe (from Earth). It is the point where humanity rose after they enter the space anomally which collapsed trapping them at that area of the Universe. It is not controled by the Gallente Federation though.
It’s most definitely a galaxy with many hundreds (thousands?) of playable solar systems.
As per the home page of Charm City Cakes (and as a fan of Ace of Cakes), it’s Duff Goldman, not “Goldma”
BTW – Hi, Zedrik! Fancy meeting you here
Thanks for the catch. Hanging my head in shame.
Silly nitpickers, it looks pretty darn cool to me. Who cares if the color isn’t Forest Green #117? IT’S A CAKE!
Lovely blog! I am loving it!! Will be back later to read some more. I am bookmarking your feeds also.Check
Thanks! Glad you like it.
Why is there a man out of size proportion in the middle of the station?
It’s a birthday cake so it’s a sculpt figure of the birthday boy.
Gallente the do-gooders? Err … attacking a whole planet filled with millions of Caldari civilians does not appear all too good to me, but ok….
Nice cake still.
