From daring Sailor Moon transformation pieces to stunning Star Wars inspired gowns, here’s a look at some of the wedding dress-esque dresses from this year’s Her Universe Fashion Show fit for a geek chic bride.

This year, 25 finalists presented their original “geek couture” designs at San Diego Comic Con to compete for the opportunity to design a limited edition fandom collection with Her Universe and Hot Topic.

“We are so excited to return to San Diego Comic-Con with The Her Universe Fashion Show,” said Ashley Eckstein. “Geek Fashion is a trend that’s not going away and once again we can’t wait to celebrate Fangirl Fashion on the runway.”

Her Universe’s Ashley Eckstein hosted the event wowing audiences with her three couture gowns Leia, Black Widow and Haku designed by the 2014 fashion show Audience Choice Winner Andrew MacLaine.

“Usagi’s Transformation”  was this year’s Audience’s Choice Winner designed Leetal Platt and photographed by Emilie Elizabeth who perfectly captured model Chloe Dykstra transforming into Sailor Moon on the runway! The winning gown incorporated 40 yards of pink ribbon on the bodice and over 2,000 feathers sewn to the skirt, a homage to the seasons when wings would appear during Usagi’s transformation.
