Dragon Ball Z fans Amber and Spencer “fusion” dance in an alleyway to power up for their engagement shoot with Bethanne Arthur Photography in Roanoke, VA where they first met as culinary students.
From the photographer, Bethanne Arthur Photography:
“One night on the way home from second shooting a wedding in Lexington, Virginia, I received a phone call from my sister-in-law, Amber. I just had this feeling when I saw her name pop up on my screen that she was about to tell me something really important. When I answered and she spoke, she spoke with such joy that I could just tell something amazing had happened! She told me that her boyfriend, Spencer, had proposed at the Roanoke Star on Mill Mountain, and that she was getting married the following April! I am SO unbelievably happy for the two of them, and I was even more happy when Amber asked me to photograph their big day AND be her Matron of Honor. Seriously….what an honor it is!”
“In August, my family and I drove down to Roanoke so that I could photograph Amber and Spencer’s engagement photo session. They chose a couple of different locations that were important to them, starting with where it all began. These two met in through culinary school, and they bonded over their love for creating delectable dishes and Dragon Ball Z. These two chefs-to-be became fast friends and then fell in love! With shades of royal blue, anemones, and a beautiful location in Vinton, VA, these two “lovebirds” are sure to have a day to remember next year! I cannot WAIT to be a part of it!We began their session at such a significant location to them and it included me photographing them “fusion” dancing in an alleyway downtown where the light hit juuuust right. I so enjoyed their session, and Amber is going to make SUCH a beautiful bride!”
