”My main goal for my sculptures is to make people smile. A box of yard sale candy tins and my love of science fiction were the perfect combination to obtain that goal. I love the feeling of holding my art after it is done. I derive satisfaction from creating something beautiful out of plain ugly objects. I started to create robot sculptures a few years ago. and i haven’t stopped yet.”

Known for his already outta this world meteorite rings Johan takes his designs back to the Jurassic Period by adding dinosuar bone. So where does one find dinosaur bone? According to Johan, they come from the Morrison Formation in Utah dating back at least 65 million years.
