Looks Like You’ve Got Some Mail
“I open at the beginning” read the golden Snitch embedded within a copy of the book “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” for a proposal a Harry Potter fan would never forget. “I proposed to my lovely Olivia with the help of my best friend Tim,” explains Jon. “We procured an owl, yes a LIVE OWL. The handler dressed up as Hagrid, and came down to the firepit at the cabin we rented in Boone, NC.” Within the pages of the Harry Potter series owls are seen as magical creatures often used for delivering posts and parcels in the wizarding world, and this owl, had a post with Olivia’s name on it.
Hagrid walked up to a nervous Jon and a curious Olivia with his owl perched on his arm and a scroll of parchment tied to its leg which Olivia then read:

A Not So Grimm Fairy Tale
Born on the small island of Puerto Rico and raised in the big city that never sleeps, blogger Loren of Pandora’s Craft Box, would end up marrying the love of her life and moving to the middle of nowhere.
Their love story started in college but ending parting ways as friends. Admittedly, they have both had stuck in the back of their mind “the one just got away”. Their story would continue, “once I year I would call him or text him to see how he was doing,” says Loren. “During our conversation the big question would come up which was if either of us was attached to someone…As time went on we continued to talk more and more each day. We were starting to get to know each other all over again.”
As if always destined to be together, their “whirlwind romance” would send Loren around the country from NYC to Texas to NY to Texas to her current home in California. “At first it was exciting and new. We talked every night and texted all day but it soon got old and lonely. We could not continue to be so far apart from each other. A year later I moved in with him from NYC to what I thought was middle of nowhere Texas (*Hubby Note* it was Dallas! how is that the middle of nowhere?!).”
Thor Proposes To Loki
Proposing to your boyfriend dressed at Thor and him as Loki at Youmacon 2012 is not only the geekiest thing I’ve seen today, but also the sweetest. Having met at a previous Youmacon it was the perfect setting for a proposal for two longtime cosplayers. I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but let’s just say, the two are shopping for Loki and Thor related wedding items.

Inside, was a photo of her boyfriend with the Mass Effect conversation wheel asking for a response to the phrase “will you marry me?”
