It’s All About EWE This March

Like many other wedding shows The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza showcases the best the industry has to offer from dress makers to cake designers, but this isn’t your ordinary wedding show. Step inside this wedding extravaganza to find custom comic book heels, three-tiered Back To The Future and lavish skull and rose themed wedding cakes, as well as, bespoke wedding gowns inspired by fairies and fantasy to tattoos and rockabilly. Their second show on March 24th continues to cater to couples who want “their” wedding be it Gothic, punk rock, geeky and everything in-between. It’s your day and your vision so “don’t be a wedding sheep…..it should be all about EWE!!”
Unlike ordinary wedding shows the suppliers, also known as the Baad Ass Mother Flockers, have all been hand picked and invited by the creators of The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza and industry professionals themselves – Sassy of Assassynation, Jo of The Couture Company and Vikki of Lillia. “The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza was born out of a real and genuine need for an alternative wedding show, the mainstream and vintage sections of our industry are adequately catered for, but what if you are a geek or a goth?” asks Jo. “The suppliers aka the Baad Ass Mother Flockers have been chosen and invited based on their personalities, the quality of their end product and the fact that they offer something unique. White linen covered trestle tables are discouraged and hard sells are banished.” The trio is also challenging their “Mo Flo’s” to create stands that are totally unique and interactive and unlike anything you’ve before.

The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza is being held in Birmingham this Sunday, November 4th at Fazeley Studios from 11.30 – 5pm! Tickets are £6 at the door or £3 if you buy them in advance from EWE. “The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza was born out of a real and genuine need for an alternative wedding show,” says one of it’s founders Jo, “the mainstream and vintage sections of our industry are adequately catered for, but what if you are a geek or a goth?” There are also going to be some amazing giveaways happening on the day…
Batman Proposes To His Batgirl At DragonCon 2012
After eleven years of courtship Ruby, with the help of Actor Dean Cain, proposed to his long time love Jennifer at DragonCon 2012 in Atlanta, GA. Known for his role as Superman in the 1990′s hit “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” and all-around nice guy, Dean makes a “super” surprise appearance to help out a nervous Ruby in his proposal.
In front of hundreds of onlookers at the DC Comics Photo Shoot, Dean pulls an unsuspecting Jennifer dressed as Batgirl from the crowd. Ruby, dressed appropriately as Batman, joins his girlfriend (in a cute set-up) is handed the proposal ring from the Actor. She said Yes!
Don’t Be A Wedding Sheep, It’s All About EWE!

Well there’s a new wedding show in town, promising to be like no other wedding show you’ve ever seen or been to before.
The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza takes a different approach to wedding shows, catering to couples who want their weddings to be all about them and their personality. Their motto, “don’t be a wedding sheep…..it should be all about EWE!!” A wedding show that caters to all types of wedding styles from the Gothic to the Bohemian to punk rock and geeky. The brainchild of three industry professionals – Sassy of Assassynation, Jo of The Couture Company and Vikki of Lillia, the eclectic trio have all hand picked the suppliers for the show. Chosen for their “talent, customer service and great personalities we are challenging the suppliers to create amazing spaces to showcase their work (rather than your usual trestle table with stuff on!)…this will make it more exciting..!”
Not only will there be some unique and fresh suppliers but also a fashion ‘walkabout’ showcasing gorgeous dresses. Loads of fantastic prizes to be won and some fun demonstrations will be going on for a totally interactive experience, promising to be nothing like you’ve ever seen at other wedding shows.
